Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina

Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia & Herzegovina, is the site of the assassination that triggered World War I, the 1984 Winter Olympics and the longest siege in modern military history.

It also occasionally serves as the remote headquarters for Blairworks. Mark and his wife Edita, a native of Sarajevo, travel to Bosnia whenever the desire for Bosnian coffee, ćevapčići or a stroll through the Baščaršija gets too strong.

Aside from running the day-to-day operations of Blairworks from his “other” home office in Sarajevo, Mark has been leading the development of DiscoverBosnia.com, a travel guide for Bosnia & Herzegovina devoted to showcasing the outstanding travel opportunities the nation has to offer.
